Search all selection FAQs
01What type of adhesive is R-5110?

R-5110 is a one-component water-based polychloroprene adhesive for rapid lamination of foam and porous materials. It is supplied as a blue emulsion with typical solids of approximately 50%.

02Can it bond foam, acoustic cotton and fiber felt?

Yes. The formulation is intended to wet porous surfaces quickly and develop initial tack. Foam density, pore structure and coat weight must still be validated with production materials.

03How long should the adhesive dry before joining?

The current TDS states that the materials can be joined immediately after spraying. The stated open time is approximately 10 minutes and is an operating window, not a mandatory waiting time.

04Should R-5110 be sprayed on one side or both sides?

Two-sided spraying is recommended for foam or textile materials. A one-sided process should be confirmed by functional testing on the actual substrates.

05Why choose a water-based polychloroprene adhesive for foam?

Foam lamination needs rapid tack, flexibility, spray efficiency and a controlled working environment. A one-component water-based system removes on-line mixing and reduces reliance on organic solvent.

06Can the Corolla reference replace project validation?

No. The project record supports preliminary selection only. Each program must validate the real foam, part geometry, coat weight, process window and durability requirements.
