R-7110 FAQ

Direct answers for technical buyers, process engineers and sourcing teams.

Search all selection FAQs
01How long is the open time?

The current TDS states 1-2 minutes at 180°C. Real open time also depends on application temperature, coat weight, substrate heat capacity, environment and line speed.

02Can R-7110 bond untreated PP and ABS?

The TDS lists compatibility with ABS and untreated PP. Resin grade, release agent, recycled content and contamination can still change the result.

03Does the 90°C target mean it will never debond?

No. Heat resistance depends on the substrate pair, coat weight, bonded area, load, exposure duration and process. Validate the actual part to the customer specification.

04What does high solids mean?

R-7110 is presented as at least 99% solids, with the current TDS stating 100%. This reduces solvent-related load but does not by itself prove zero odor or zero emissions.

05What process temperatures are recommended?

Current guidance is 180±10°C in the tank, 185±10°C in the hose and 190±10°C at the nozzle, with a maximum of 210°C.

06What must be tested before production?

Confirm open time, peel, 90°C heat aging, creep, humidity aging, thermal cycling, low-temperature impact, coat-weight range, char formation and batch consistency.
