01Can R-7206 bond PP, ABS and low-surface-energy materials?
Project testing covers ABS+GF30% and PP+GF20%, and the TDS lists ABS and untreated PP. Actual grades and surface contamination must be tested.
02How should the 110°C statement be understood?
It is a no-debonding target under confirmed project conditions, not a universal guarantee. Part load, exposure duration, coat weight and geometry all matter.
03What are the process temperature and open time?
Current guidance is 180±10°C in the tank, 185±10°C in the hose and 190±10°C at the nozzle. Open time at 180°C is approximately 1-2 minutes.
04Does approximately 99% solids mean zero VOC?
No. High solids reduce dependence on evaporating solvent, but the final part and production environment still require odor, VOC and compliance evaluation.
05Why can hot melt string, spray unevenly or char?
Common causes include temperature fluctuation, prolonged overheating, long residence time, filter or nozzle condition and contamination with another adhesive.
06Is the 150°C softening point the continuous service temperature?
No. Ring-and-ball softening point is a material characteristic under a defined method and cannot replace loaded part-level heat-aging tests.
